Im Active duty AF going through the IDES. I'm about to start my C&P exams in the next week or two. Problem is I saw my PCM for general health check up because I noticed my overall health was declining over the past month. At the exams PCM discovers a lump on my chest. I told him I'd never seen it before. He orders labs and puts in a referall for another clinic. Scared the shit out of me. Do I bring this up to the VA rep or my PEBLO? or wait till the military runs all their tests and shit first? I know this is serious but I swear to god if this shit drags my MEB another year I'm gonna lose my fucking mind. I probably sound like an idiot complaining about when Ima get out when I might have a fucking tumor in my chest. Thoughts are racing, cant get any sleep. Any advice would help.

First, lots of people would be freaking out while waiting to find out what the lump means.

Two, until there is more known about the lump, it would be impossible to rate.

You can request medical review before you kick things off to the PEB. I'm not super familiar with this but know nothing about this process is as set in stone as it may seem:

I submitted claims for diagnoses that had work ups but no official diagnoses. All that changed was a note in the NARSUM prior to final review saying that any additional evidence may be considered by the PEB after I was formally diagnosed by the VA.

Discuss these concerns with your appointed lawyer or your private lawyer if you've hired one. You likely have more options than you know.

But nothing about what you mentioned is a cause for alarm as is. I have bumps on my knees and while unpleasant, all that came back was a formal diagnosis of osgood schlatters. A name was assigned to it but the reality didn't change. Until you have some final say on this you may be panicking over nothing.
