Hey everyone!
AD Army here. I was hoping someone could give me some insight on the following:
Sorry for the wall of text; but I'd rather give all the details that are needed
Situation:
I logged into my Medpros on Friday (March 7th) after my Ortho Appointment and noticed that I had a PULHES of 113111 indicating a P3 profile was initiated with the status of “Referred to MEB” However, I logged in to Medpros today and saw that the P3 was removed and now the PULHES is 111111. I just wanted to see what caused it to get removed?
Here is some background information to hopefully show some insight of the situation:
Procedure/Surgical History
• Arthroscopy, hip, surgical; with femoroplasty (ie, treatment ofcam lesion) (10/13/2023)
• Arthroscopy, hip, surgical; with labral repair (10/13/2023)
• Arthroscopy, hip, surgical; with synovectomy (10/13/2023)
• Capsulectomy or capsulotomy, hip, with or without excision of heterotopic bone, with release of hip flexor muscles (ie, gluteus medius, gluteus minimus, tensorfascia latae, rectus femoris, sartorius, iliopsoas) (10/13/2023)
Background: I had a labral tear that was corrected via surgery in Oct 2023. I reinjured it during a ruck march in Oct 2024 and had an audible/painful pop when I lost my footing on uneven terrain.
Timeline:
Nov 22, 2024 – PCM thinks the hip is a potential retear based on the audible pop that can be reproduced. He orders MRI/Xray + Ortho/PT Referral
Jan 17, 2024 – Ortho Appt with Dr # 1. He states nothing concerning seen in the MRI. However further states that he is doubtful that surgery would correct my audible pop, locking and pain. He further states to try physical therapy and if not successful then to have us look into Permanent Profile/Medboard.
Jan 21, 2025 – PT Appt; established goals and baselines
Jan 24, 2025 – PCM follow up on PT/Ortho notes. States he agrees that if PT does not fix the issue, then he would initiate the MEB (This is Documented verbatim).
Jan 28-Feb 18 – In clinic PT conducted (6 Sessions)
Feb 25, 2025 – Last PT Appt Session; Lead PT person states that Goals were not met. He discharges me from in-clinic supervised PT because of my issues and symptoms. He recommends following up with my PCM for MEB consideration (This is Documented verbatim).
Feb 26, 2025 – PCM states he can’t initiate MEB due to the reason he needs a recommendation from Ortho based on the PT Notes on Feb 25th.
Feb 26, 2025 - Emailed Ortho DR # 2; he states that he reviewed Dr # 1 notes and agrees with his findings. Schedules me for an in person APPT on March 7th.
Mar 6th, 2025 - Got a hold of Ortho Dr. 1 on the Phone; he reviewed the PT notes and agrees that I should be considered for MEB consideration and documents it.
Mar 7th, 2025 - In person appt with Ortho Dr. 2; he documents the following (He also stated that he emailed my PCM since there was some back and forth on "who" submits the MEB)
Later that night, I decided to log into Medpros and saw the PULHES of 113111 with a status of "Referred to MEB". I thought this portion of the fight was done! But to my dismay, I see that the PULHES has been set to 111111 as of Sunday. I know I won't hear back until the weekday but wanted to inquire some of the experts on here. My fear is if I was denied for the MEB; which would be very weird considering I have two recommendations from 2 different Doctors at Ortho, my PCM, and from the Lead PT physician.
Thank you!

29M with chronic R hip pain s/p R hip labrum repair and femoroplasty- Given his physical exam and imaging findings, I do not recommend further surgery for the right hip
Office and Clinic Notes- Trial of right hip steroid injection today- Given the severity and chronicity of his symptoms, I do not expect this condition to further improve. Besides hip injections (which are only temporary), I do not have a surgical option to offer the patient at this time. Due to this, I believe he is at the medical retention point and should be considered for MEB- In the interim, I have placed the patient on a permanent profile for no running or strenuous hip flexion exercises
