Referred to Board by battalion med NCO= April 14, 2025 for 6 conditions (all of which prior rated from the VA within the last 12 months).
Commander's IMPACT Statement signed- April 18th, 2025
Provider Appointment- August 6th, 2025
PEBLO First Contact- August 29th, 2025
MSC First Contact- August 29th, 2025
QTC C&P Exam (Hearing)= September 30th, 2025
QTC X Ray- October 2, 2025
QTC ACE Exam- October 14, 2025- during which they decided they needed an in person SHA
QTC SHA Exam- October 31st, 2025
QTC Second X Ray- November 28th, 2025
VA Received Results from QTC per PEBLO- Dec 11th.
IPEB Results and NARSUM with errors(they had both mine and another soldiers SSN and other PII in it) Found unfit on 2/6 conditions, as expected and I agree with but the other soldiers PII means I have to request an IMR and file some paperwork- December 19th, 2025.
Seattle VA Temp Jurisdiction assigned- Dec 19th, 2025.
MEB Counsel appointment with JAG- December 23rd, 2025.
Extension Requested on NARSUM signing granted till 9 January to allow for IMR request to remove the other soldiers PII- December 24, 2025.
JAG sends in their paperwork to correct NARSUM, I sign the NARSUM requesting the IMR: January 5th, 2026.



Anyone know how backed up Seattle is at processing these things?

Gotta ask:

How do you all manage the anxiety of waiting during this process? It's driving me crazy waiting for such a career and life altering decision. I went thru nearly a year with the VA during my claim there, which happened before this process but that wasn't a big deal waiting as it really didn't affect a major aspect of my life like the MEB does.

I don't know, maybe its just me during this insomnia night.

It's definitely not just you. It's quite normal for you to feel anxiety. I know I have loads surrounding my MEB. I have about the same timeline as you. Was sent for my IPEB on Dec 09. I think the wait is unfortunately so much worse in this stage as the next is basically getting your orders and separating, so you have to think about future plans and finances without a timeline.
 
It's brutal, my case went to the PEB on Dec 4th and it's driving me crazy waiting for an answer. I know the holidays and leave can extend it but hoping for the results in the next few weeks
 
Glad I'm not the only one. the good news is, my service anniversary date is Jan 30th. So I will most definitely hit my 20 year letter window now. I was a bit worried at first when it was moving fast. But there's no way they'll get me retired before then.

lol not even ten minutes after this, I got an email from the VA that a decision had been made on my file. Logged into find a decision letter containing my new VA rating. On my referred conditions.

Yay!!

I still have to wait for the MEB to close and move to the PEB phase. Meeting Friday to try and have them get the other soldiers PII out of my NARSUM. Then it’ll move on to the PEB for a DoD rating.

But the VA rating side is what I hoped for and was the best case scenario based on the DBQs and evidence. Hopefully the DoD at least gets me 30 percent so I can medically retire

Got it. Yeah I just got the rest of my VA ratings 100 PT so I should get the PEB results here shortly

VA Re-opened my claim. Jan 20,2026
ACE Exam on Jan 22,2026-Asked questions about what prescriptions I am on. Took less than 10 minutes. Guess some recent court thing made them have to ask these questions.
VA Closed my claim- Jan 22, 2026.
VA issued decision letter: Jan 23, 2026 No changes to my Rating. I am now 100 P&T officially.
State J1 called, PHA scheduled for Jan 27, 2026. They said it is my final one and last chance to make sure all records are updated. Good sign?
