Orders / Retirement Date Timeline Question

So thankful I've made it this far in the process!! I signed and concurred with my findings on 21 August, and was told that I will have orders on 06 September. There was a block on the form that allowed you to put your requested date of separation if it was less than 45 days from receipt of notification. Obviously I left that blank, but now I'm having second thoughts. My case manager isn't telling me anything, and my PEBLO doesn't have a clue.

My question is, when I receive my orders on Thursday, will my separation date be at the end of October? I'm hoping to take my PTDY from 27 Sep thru 27 Oct and retire on 28 Oct. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

What branch are you in? This doesn't seem right that you haven't been to a retirement brief... Did you get seperation or retirement? Please answer to get the right answers!!!
 
I'm in the Air Force. I'm TDRL...just wondering when my separation date will be so I can plan for my PTDY accordingly. Sorry for the confusion. Hopefully I'll get my orders Thursday and all will be well with the world! :-)

Ok... TDRL is a subject that I know nothing about... I suggest that you contact your Ombudsman on this one, they will have the best answer/help for you or hit up the MEB JAG office.
 
AF doesn't have Ombudsman's. The closest thing we have is the patient advocate. Sure wish we did though.:(

Wonder if you guys can go to an Army post and hit them up??? Never hurts to try!
 
I thought you get 60 days + PTDY? I am confused.. I need to burn off leave then if we only get 45. Grrrr.
 
If you are stationed overseas, you get 30 days permissive TDY plus any terminal leave. CONUS is 20 days PTDY. I dont have any leave days, so I'm only using the 30 days PTDY. I talked to my case manager again this morning and she told me that the computer system is "fluctuating" and that I should have my orders by noon tomorrow. Down to the wire now!!!
