Pdbr timeline.

I received an email stating Notification of Completed Action. All the information in the email states PDBR and the
Secretary of the Air Force’s Designated Decision Authority but I was in the Coast Guard. Can you give me any feedback? I appreciate your help.

The Air Force was put in charge of the PDBR process for all service branches. When hey AF is done with their part they will send to the respective branches decision authority for final approval.

I contacted the PDBR this week to see what the status was of my application. It has been 2 years since applying and they said they are still in the process of retrieving my records. I don’t seem to see many people who have waiting this long... Insights?

We have been waiting since February 2017, and still in collecting records phase... it’s a very loooong process lol.

Thank you! I am at May 2017. I thought it was a little strange but I suppose it isn’t then. So I guess we are looking more like 3 years instead of 2(ish) at this point then lol.

Not strange at all. I'm February 2017. Had to send my own records and PEB after two years they said it would expedite the process. My case was adjudicated 3 months ago and still nothing.

I heard the same thing 3-6 months to process after they received all documents from the VA. It also go to 3 stage of the process.
FYI, the PDBR website is deleted for good.

For timeline reference, I submitted in May 17. Records collection until Feb/mar of this year. Adjudication beginning of April. PDBR sent recommendation to Navy two weeks ago, and the Navy reports they have not received it yet.

PDBR informed me they sent it to the Coast Guard but I have no idra how or who to contact to find out if they received it or a timeline of when to get a FD. (February 17)

Sorry Chef. Have you asked the PDBR who their point of contact is in the Coast Guard? They may provide it. They may not. Either way I think it is worth the ask.

Updated timeline: The Navy reports they have received the recommendation from the PDBR today, and it will take approximately 60 days to receive the decision letter from the Secretary of the Navy. I am very appreciative of the Navy POC Ann Jones. All of us have experienced delays in responses from the PDBR. However, I want to say Ann Jones has responded to every email in an extremely timely manner, often in minutes, to hours. It is extremely refreshing after getting no response or getting one two weeks later from the PDBR.
