PDBR, update, DFAS

update. Hubby spoke to DFAS yesterday. Actually spoke to someone helpful and seemed to know her stuff. She said they received his packet on the 6th of July, got his signed paperwork on the 21st not the 24th of July as we were originally told. She said currently that its taking 20 to 45 days at most. However, in the rare occasion up to 90. She could not tell us how much longer. She did say his audit was ongoing at this time. She also informed him that his 20 year letter was there and he would begin receiving his reserve retirement @ age 60 and it would not change what he's given now. She also said if he did not hear or see anything by the end of next week to contact DFAS again and they would know more at that time.

I am just curious, has anyone from the May decisions started receiving their pay yet? Or back pay?
 
Congrats on a positive decision from the PDBR.
 
Was approved for my retirement and did the SBP packet. One month later and trying to find out what's going on with it. I know they said orders would be next then finance. Is their someone I can call or email to find out what is going on?

What Branch are you? Have you checked IPERMS? My husband actually printed his off and his orders before we got them in the mail. We are through everything. Just waiting on his audit and for his pay to start.
 
I was in the Air Force and separated in 2005. I don't have a military ID due to separation. What is IPERMS?

okay, well sadly I cannot offer any advice. There are a group of Air Force guys who can better help you. I will find the thread they started. You are going to be heartbroken....Air force is taking the longest. a year or better. I believe a few of them are trying to change that through contacting their congressman. Let me try and find the thread for you.

We have the same timeline. I was in the Army, have you receive any back pay?
 
Oh sorry I’m not sure why I believed you were Air Force. Well then that changes everything......

NO! ;) sadly the group of us who are on that timeline, those that are still posting have not received anything yet. My husband is due backpay and right now we are being advised each week to call DFAS.

We did find out last week that they have racked on our taxes that we were reembursed back in 08’. So that was NOT so fantastic news.

As of last week DFAS told us his packet had not been worked on since September 11th. Which is the day all of that group should have been completed. They finally did a ticket and he was advised to call back this Thursday.

I will update again this week.
