So, I was told during my findings I will be PDRL and have 100% P and T VA disability. My question is do I manually have to go about getting a waiver with the VA to get the pay instead of retirement pay? Considering I am an E4 with 5 years and retirement pay is significantly less and I want to know my next steps for getting the most $ out of it. Thank you for all help!

As long as you left the box blank on the application for VA compensation you are good. There was a box that if you checked it that you basically said you don't want to waive your pension to get VA pay. If your MSC helped you fill out the application for VA disability I am sure it was filled out correctly.

Reviewed my intake / application and you're absolutely correct, they just left it blank when we filled it out. Thank you very much, I was worried since the amount is a BIG jump.
