It depends on symptom overlap and proof of comorbidity. Do you have separate diagnosis for each and are these diagnosis on different days? If it is pyramided you can appeal to the board if you have proof that you have separate diagnosis and instances were either condition is independent of the other.
I was first diagnosed with GAD (General Anxiety Disorder) until it was found to coincided with PTSD and my MH diagnosis was changed to PTSD with situational Anxieties.
Sorry, I’m here looking for help also. I have 4 years of service and one combat deployment and awarded a Combat action Badge. I was diagnosed with PTSD, depression, anxiety disorder, panick attack, social phobia, tremors, and idiopathic Hypersomnia. I had a heat stroke at JRTC last year July and mentally haven’t been right ever since. I started having seizures in august and my last seizure was in November. I have a temporary profile for this. I couldn’t do any of the jobs I wanted to transfer to in the army due to me having suicidal ideation on my record and being admitted into the psych ward. I never wanted to get out but everything is getting worse and I’m losing my mind and I don’t want to snap on anyone and flip because I know I can’t come back from that. I’m holding it together each day. I just want to get medboarded out now so I can at least leave with some type of compensation. I just need help and my new psychiatrist asked and keeps saying my commander might chapter me out due to being unfit since I’m not able to deploy or even hold a weapon and I’m in a combat MOS. I don’t have a permanent profile so.. I just need help or some type of guidance. I love the army but it is taking what is left of my mental health away from me.
