Ramstein Timeline

Sorry, I don’t think I was very clear with my rambling in my post. I received a duplicate email with the same message of the IPEB has received your case. The message was 9 days apart so I figured I was good until I realized it was the same original message. I have not received anything that says my package is complete. It has now been 14 days since my package was received.

I called AFPC this morning and they told me that a decision has not been made and my case is still being processed. They are apparently behind due to an influx of EFMP cases. Also the separations section is behind as well so orders are taking longer to receive.
Oooh, you’re fine. It’s just 14 days :) Lose the timeline goals - sorry, but timelines just aren't what they used to be.
Honestly, unless you have something lined up on the outside, take this time to just relax (easier said than done) and look further down the line. I went back and looked at previous posts of yours, and in my humble opinion, your case is moving along at a decent rate. For what its worth, one of my best friends work at AFPC and some of their civilians are still teleworking across the board....read between the lines, lol.

Also, I will say there was a lot of care I couldn't receive for a year in Germany. Yes, Germany. During my two months of leave and PTDY, I was able to have everything taken care of or address. So try not to fret over that...remember, you can send those medical records to the VA after the fact for inclusion into a claim decision.

If my husband and I weren’t living separately I don’t think I would honestly care, that and the lack of medical care here. It’s starting to become a financial strain on us paying on two homes and daycare. Also as far as my health goes, I need specialists that aren’t in this area. My career field is Personnel so I’m very familiar with working with AFPC on a near daily basis. I remember how bad it was last year due to covid, and having to call on the behalf of customers to get their stuff expedited. I’ve always done my best to serve our customers including working from home with a laptop last year.

As far as my case goes, it’s been over six months according to my leadership. They’ve had to resubmit documentation due to the time frame. My first shirt said this isn’t the norm but... covid. I definitely plan on digging into my extensive medical records. I’ve had lots of medical issues and care, I’ll have time to sort that out while on terminal leave.

I can only imagine how much of a hardship this is presenting, but that won't move the timeline unfortunately. Even if you were able to have the timeline expedited, that would need to be routed from your command to the MDG and up to AFPC and I don't see anything dire that could cause this to fly. The personnel side, from my little knowledge, works completely differently when it comes to LDES/IDES. It's a matter of communication between the MDG and AFPC, not the FSS and AFPC when it comes to LDES/IDES until the unfit decision is rendered...hang in there. I had to have my documentation resubmitted as well since my CC Impact Statement expired due to how long I was in the process. This is now the norm, you're hearing first hand experiences from those (me) who have went through what you're going through during COVID AND overseas...

Yep, I remember seeing cases stalled during the late spring and summer last year. I wonder when things will return to “normal” and not just the military. When we closed on a house in December we had to extend the closing date 3 times. The bright side is I’m still getting paid at least. Sorry if it seems like I’m complaining, frustrated just like most people are during these times. Thank you for your advice! It’s more than I’ve gotten from my PEBLO lol. I hope transitioned life is going great for you.

I don't mind at all. I had to do so much research on my own and I'm glad I did because I had to coach my PEBLO. I read EVERY regulation possible, so I just want to pass on what I can. I'm here to hear all complaints and frustrations because I was once where you are (virtual hug), but now that I'm out I'm very happy that it took as long as it did! I'm very grateful that I have insurance (VA has been GREAT as well as Tricare Prime) because my shots alone are $5K. That's not accounting for other things going on related to my condition. So my peace and gratefulness is rooted in knowing that my healthcare is taken care of.

Transition is okay. I'm still working to break some things the military engrained in me :) I'm going on month six of a break and I'm very happy I decided to take a break instead of working immediately.

7 - 10 January: RILO submitted sometime between those days
13 January: MEB/IDES enrollment notification

I can't say that I wish to stay at this point (though a RTD is possible), because I will have missed the window for a lot of opportunities. My ETS and DEROS is 31 Dec 2020. I'm kind of numb that it's actually made it to the MEB phase. I only say this because after talking with my medical team it seemed that keeping me on a mobility and fitness restrictions while undergoing immunotherapy was a viable option while we wait to see if my condition improves.
Hello, would you be able to tell me when your PCM hit the MEB button for it to go to the DAWG?

Interesting. Do you recall how long it should be until the member is officially notified of the process starting?
From AFPC notifying the member that they’re in the MEB process? I want to say 10 days, but now I don’t know since so many changes have occurred. My case was not the usual though since I was always on AFPC’s radar due to all of the RILOs.

Okay gotcha. Cause my button was pressed almost 2 weeks ago and all I’ve been given was that my PCM called me to discuss my IRILO paperwork early so it was done.
