HRC received my CRSC packet on 16JUN17 and approved it on 16JUN18. It took seven days for the letter to reach me by mail. Now I just have to wait on DFAS to calculate the dollar amount.

My CRSC LES just posted on MYPAY and shows that I’ll receive my first payment on 01AUG2018. I’m still not sure about when the 16 months back pay will hit.

One to three months after DFAS receives the approval. The experience of abn2519 is within that range.

I received my CRSC STATEMENT 10/23/18
First CRSC PAYMENT 11/1/18
When should I expect my retro...sometime this week? ‍♀♀
Recent info from DFAS:

Posted yesterday: "Just had the most pleasant conversation with someone from DFAS I think I've ever had. The CRSC website says that you should receive retro pay anywhere from 30-60 days from receipt of your first CRSC payment. It's actually 90-120 days from first payment and those are calendar days not business days."

----------------

Opinion: I think it is a moving target and the volume of CRSC approvals drives the time required to process payments for retro CRSC. One to three months is common.

I haven’t seen 1 example here where backpay has taken longer than 30 days. Anybody?
I hope you receive your retro CRSC soon.

With regard to “longer than 30 days” I have had two retro CRSC experiences and both took 2-3 months. Additionally, I have seen dozens on another board where I spend most of my time, and CRSC retro payments have ranged up to six months; however, 1-3 months is more common now.

Good luck,
Ron

Even after it’s been “assigned to a person”?
Did not know that information was available. I do know there are other veterans who are still waiting for CRSC retro after one month+ and they would be surprised if the “first in, first out” protocol was not being followed.

I can understand an award being processed “ahead with of the line” if a terminal illness or a proven hardhip was involved, but other than that...one should wait their turn. I did.

No not that the “first in first out” protocol isn’t being followed. The audits are done by computer first then assigned to a person for final approval of the audit. Is that correct?

Yes, the audits are automated and an employee finishes the processing.

I hope you are paid soon.
