I have a diagnosis that is unfitting to stay in the reserves until my MRD. I have my 20 year letter. I just finished the MEB process and now they are ready to send it to the PEB and the VA for rating. How is the compensation calculated?

DISABILITY RETIREMENT
The multiplier for disability retired pay is either:

2.5 percent for each year of service (AD or active duty equivalent),
or
disability percentage assigned by the service at the time you retire.

The multiplier is used with your average high three for retirement. The high three is average base pay for your three highest paid years (36 months), rather than final monthly base pay.

High 3 x multiplier = Retired Pay

Added: you will not be eligible for CRDP until you met the age requirement for RC retirement.

Reference: https://militarypay.defense.gov/Pay/Retirement/Reserve.aspx

Per DOD: “YOS for retirement percentage multiple determines the years of service for computing the retired pay multiplier. This category of years of service includes all periods of active service (counted as one point for each day) plus all points earned through qualifying reserve duty, not exceeding annual limits, divided by 360.”
