I was placed on pdrl 3 years ago with service connected MDD and a VA rating of 90%. I want to check if I have ADHD but I’m afraid if I get an ADHD diagnosis it will affect my rating does anyone have any input?

Both MDD and ADHD are mental health disorders as defined in current version of DSM-5 (the standards used by mental health professionals). The VA, with rare exception, rates all MH conditions with a single rating. The rating is based on the degree of decline in occupational or social functioning. In short, a new diagnosis would not per se reduce your benefits. What can decrease benefits is an increase in occupational or social functions OR the resolution of symptoms to the point that you do longer meet the diagnostic criteria of MDD.
