Hey everyone, currently on terminal leave and have a quick question. Looking at my DD-214 it lists my separation pay amount but after finally doing some math it amounts to a much larger amount than it is supposed to. From what I was tracking it is BASE PAYx2 MONTHSxYEARS IN SERVICE and that the DOD does not round up your TIS. I will be at 4 years 10 months when my leave ends but after doing the math the amount listed on my DD-214 is for someone with 5 years TIS at my base pay instead of 4. Is this something that finance will automatically catch when paying out and the number on my DD-214 doesnt matter? or will they send that amount out and then someday in the future come after me for the amount I was overpaid?
