Should I ask my PCM or specialty care for an MEB?

So I injured my back about 5 months ago and ended up seeing physical therapy for it. Right now I currently have two bulging disks and a mass in my spinal canal and have been referred to ortho for it. My pain has also increased immensely since my leadership has been having me violate my profile and go to the field in kit and etc.
I also have been suffering from migraines for the past two years and have finally been seeing tbi clinic as of two months ago.
I know that although I can speak to my doctors about it. It’s ultimately up to them to decide if it’s the right thing to do. But I’m at my wits end with the daily pains and the work I’m required to do. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Here is how to push for a MEB without asking for it... Put your health first! So for example try to get and keep your profile for all of your issues. Don't give in to leadership or any peer pressure to do anything that violates your profile. This will help nudge your leadership and or Dr. to refer you to a MEB. The reason that it will do that is that a MEB is initiated when you hit your MRDP. So once they think you can't do your job then they try to get rid of you or if in the AF for example try to move you to a LAS to see if you can do a job with limited duties. Since you didn't say your branch its a bit harder to be specific. For example in the Army your Commander can request a Fit for Duty exam so that can lead you to a MEB so there is more than one way to get pushed into one where its all from your PCM. You see your PCM might want to exhaust a lot more treatments before they refer you but a different doctor that hears your medical issues from a fresh perspective and sees that it affects your job will be more willing to state you are probably not fit and should be referred to IDES.

How are you. I’m pretty new around here myself but I do understand what you’re dealing with.
I have the same issue if it’s Army honestly some leadership careless about your profile. And according to my orthopedic specialist leadership doesn’t have to adhere to profile I don’t understand that. However, I would tell you to continue seek treatment orthopedics would probably order MRI and if they find anything they’d offer treatment if it’s not working In your favor then maybe they’ll recommend a FFD or just straight up send you back to your PA to initiate MEB I’m here waiting for my PA to initiate my MEB which he’s just never around and wanting to place some emphasis on soldiers Health it’s so bad I’ve been dealing with them for months..
