Was just informed by 1SG that he is seeking Dereliction of duty for me not showing up to a appt. I am alreasdy in the process of getting chaptered for weight control how will this effect that chapter and what are all my rights.

- What type appointment did you miss? Was it medical? Could it have led to an MEB?
- Command can now opt to change your Chapter 18, to a 13 or 14
- Chapter 14 = Separation For Misconduct
- Chapter 13 = Separation For Unsatisfactory Performance
- AR 635-200 for chapter information
IMO, When presented with the counseling, respectfully refuse to sign and seek legal council, with JAG.
Their is no regulation which allows them to force your to sign. However, there is a block on the counseling form where you may disagree. But, this would require a signature. Seek legal council first.
