I am not sure where to put this post, but I am in the process for applying for Voc Rehab while still on active duty. Yes, I have a disability rating because I just completed my MEB. My questions are:

1. I want to do Contract Specialist and right now I may have to change my bachelor's degree. I am close to finishing my bachelor's degree in criminal justice. What do you recommend?
2. The next career options were: Security Consultant, Human Resource Advisor, IT Specialist, Security Specialist, and Security Administrator. Any advice on the career options that I have chosen from the assessment that I had to complete.

Any advice I would appreciate.

Pick the path to the career field you want to work in. I was able to do Voc Rehab while still on AD. Make just you can physically perform the tasks of the career path you choose.

That's where I am stuck. I want more advice about contract specialist because right now I don't feel as if any IT position is for me. So, its between HR and Contract Specialist. Not sure which path I should take....:(

When I look at the longevity of a career, contracting appears to be much more stable than IT or HR. IT and HR employees seem to bounce around from position to position often.
