Seattle Regional VA Timelines:

I had a long productive day at the VA today. I had my appointments scheduled(5) total, and the last one was for the 28th of Jan. I got a cancelation today for the appointment scheduled on the 28th. I spent the whole day there waiting for cancelations and was able to finish 4 out 5 today. My remaining appointment was moved up from the 22nd to the 13th. I hope this is it for my claim.

I had a gulf war exam and the Dr really thought I was in that conflict, I think I was 13. Infantry road hard put away wet.

Indeed, good news in reference to your VAMC appointments! Hmm, perseverance yielded favorable results at the end of the day; good deal!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

I almost feel bad about doing a formal complaint with the Seattle VA. When I contacted the Loma Limda VAMC they told me nothing was in the system for me and that I would have to wait weeks. After speaking with several different people they all told me to wait. Ironically I got a call back a hour later with all my appointments. It's like nobody does their job. The more proactive I have been the more things happen.

I talked to VA today and the rep says a letter was sent out to my address and to the PEB explaining my proposed ratings, however I haven't seen anyone else ever post about recieving a letter until final ratings are complete. Anyone have any insight?

Indeed, I received similar information from the DoVA in reference to the forwarding of a proposed ratings letter from them to my home address...never received it; for that matter, a letter was never sent!

To that extent, the PEB received the transmittal for receipt of the DoVA proposed ratings with decision rationale. Then, I received the IPEB findings inclusive of DoD and DoVA proposed ratings about two weeks afterwards from my PEBLO.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Thanks, based on everthing I've read your explanation is what I thought. I called the VA hoping they would tell me my ratings however, they wouldn't tell me. I've already emailed my PEBLO yesterday and of course no reply. I am very fortunate my ratings are done but now that they are done I feel so impatient to know my ratings lol.

Your PEBLO may tell you what the VA side is! Ask your MSC also

My PEBLO wasn't going to tell me, but I saw them on the computer screen at his desk when he pulled them up so he really had no choice. It kind of pissed me off that he wasn't going to tell me, but I understand that they have "rules" and don't want to tell you the proposed ratings because the PEB 'could' change them (although I highly doubt they even look at them). I'd just ask your PEBLO politely and tell him or her that you understand that the ratings aren't set in stone. Maybe bring them an apple or cookie, lol. Slide a $20 in his hand when you shake it, haha.

Indeed, you are welcome! :)

Well, eventually my PEBLO informed me of my DoD and DoVA proposed ratings via range approximate estimations.

In retrospect, the MSCs I had were totally useless in reference to obtaining any information about DoVA proposed ratings when available since they would not answer their telephones or respond back to email requests at that point in time.

This does not look promising. I thought the average days where going down for a while and i figured they would jump up around the holidays but not by over 100 days.

This graph is only showing your Command averages and not the whole Army avg. I looked at the same and there have only been a couple of individuals go through IDES from my Command (Reserve/AGRs) 7th CSC in Kaiserslautern. This just means that your command has a lot of people that have cases that have taken a long time.

I am at 257 days waiting for prelim-ratings to get back to PEB, and that means my case is throwing our avg. way out there.

I don't think your average is taken into account for your unit's aggregate that month until your ratings are completed. Hence, the averages really are skewed for current-trend analysis as no cases currently pending are taken into account. One Soldier finishing at 260 days can really throw off the averages that month, especially for some units with a sample size of 3. Or, a unit with 3 pending cases that are at 300 days and one Soldier that finishes that month at 90 days will show 90 days as the average.

I tried going through the metrics to pull Army-wide, but I'm not sure if I didn't have permissions or was just doing it wrong. My 2 cents, hopefully it helps.

God is good!!! PEBLO called me today and told me my ratings 70% DOD 100% VA PDRL. I am so happy with this turn out I have an appointment today and as soon as I'm done i'm headed to see my PEBLO to review my 199!!!

Indeed; excellent, excellent, excellent news! :)

To that extent, please keep a clear mind upon the review of your IPEB findings inclusive of DoD PDRL and DoVA proposed ratings!

Otherwise, upon the acceptance of your DA Form 199, enjoy your forthcoming military disability retirement for sure! Take care! :D

Awesome. Wonder whats taking them so long to show my husband his %. Glad you got yours told today.

I finished my last requested VA appointment yesterday. I emailed the VA and asked them if they received the exam results yet. He told me to expect 2 weeks before they are uploaded for the rater. I asked them how this was possible because the Dr uploaded them and showed me that they are in the system and I could see my QTC appointments above them. All he told me was that it in a different system than they have? I know it's Va to Va and on digits so 2 weeks seems like a long time given the fact it's all on digits. Hopefully it won't take that long but time will tell.

I'll add my timeline for an update.

Unfit letter sent Aug 12 2012

Waiting 156 days.

The VA never required any additional documentation. I claimed 7 conditions, 2 unfitting. Ebenefits hasn't changed from "Gathering of evidence. Evidence requested is past due"

my timeline: unfit letter sent 2 October, waiting 105 days, ebenefits says "gather evidence" evidence requested past due; 9 conditions; 1 referred.

Until someone dealing with your claim updates it, it won't change regardless of where your claim is at in the process
