Referred- May 2016.
Accepted for PEB- June 2016
VA Exams- August/September 2016
Package sent to PEB- December 15, 2016
QA Stage- January 2017

Can someone please explain to me what happens next? My PEBLO told me today that my case has been adjudicated and I should hear something sometime next week. My Ebenefits also went from "Pending Decision Approval" to "Compensation."

I'm sorry, Ebenefits still says "pending Decision Approval" not "compensation." I looked at the wrong word.

From the timeline has the VA sent your package back to the PEB? Also did your ebenefits compensation portion open up two claims? I ask because their system is really hit or miss. For instance mine had two one under compensation and the other labeled "IDES". When the VA sent my ratings back to the PEB my IDES claim was closed out. My compensation claim is still pending which lists my individual disabilties but it won't get closed out until I'm officially out at the end of this month.

Some people get two claims opened. Some don't. Some get a VA letter in the mail. Some don't. I like to ask who gets what just to try and keep track of the VA's system logic.

Negative. All my PEBLO told me was that I should hear something back soon. I'm assuming my package is still getting look at but I have no clue. It's in the QA (?) stage.

The QA (quality assurance) phase is more or less an administrative term. They say it's being checked but I'm fairly certain it just lets them extend the time that a package sits in one location. Hopefully you get your findings back shortly.

Oh. I hope I find out soon, one way or another. I'm tired of this whole process. Thank you though!

I know the feeling all too well. The process is very draining. I was frankly losing my mind but once you get what (hopefully) you want it's a truly amazing feeling.

Feel free to keep us updated or ask any other questions. This board is very helpful.

Ebenefits just updated my status from "Pending Decision Approval" to "Gathering of Evidence" Shouldn't that be the other way around?

Mine did that the VA is requesting more documents to process your claim i got a call from my PEBLO i have to go back to the VA for another evaluation on my neck so they can give their percentage

Damn, I'll have to go back for another appointment? Have you gotten your ratings back yet?

Mine did that on Tuesday and my results haven't come back from the IPEB yet. My PEBLO checked this morning and still nothing. She also told me that you can't count on Ebenefits.

My PEBLO is out of the office and can't be reached. No idea when she's coming back.

No, for mine I have claimed my neck. I have had past documents on it but nothing up to date for it (Like in the past 6 years) and they want to make sure I get the correct percentage for it.

Oh okay. I claimed my hips but medical did a terrible job of actually documenting them.

Well, my PEBLO told me that I was found unfit in January, but the VA is giving me a rating of 0%.

Is that your unfitting condition ? Or your overall rating from all your claimed conditions with the VA?

Pretty sure thats my rating from the VA. I don't know the DOD rating. I'm still waiting on a letter, but I stopped into the PEBLOs office and thats all he told me.

PEBLO's are secretive form no reason it's so annoying. Right that's a VA rating, but is that what the VA rated your "unfitting condition"? Or is that your combined overall rating for ALL your claimed conditions ? Basically did you claim more than what you were put on a med board for? Hopefully you did.

I claimed four things. I claimed bilateral hip pain, bilateral nerve damage on my hips, right wrist tendinitis and a small scar I had from a surgery I got done.

They specifically med boarded me for the nerve damage on my hips.

I'm taking a wild guess they gave me 0% because my hips are theoretically supposed to get better, it'll just take time.

You should argue that they aren't. I would also highly advise to claim a lot more. If you appeal anything while still in service it will prolong the process greatly, so it depends on what you have going on, but I would make sure the VA will be taking care of you for life.
