Hey everyone quick question?
I got my appointments set up with QTC and the Mental Health Appointment is virtual out of all my other ones is that something uncommon?
Just needs some clarity from the community here. Mentally exhausted Thank you

I've never said a mental health appointment that was virtual, all of my appointments were in person, I had to drive real far but all in person, is your medboard for mental health?

It just depends on who you’re seeing. Mine was in person and had to drive 45 mins to it while my friends was just a phone call. Nothing to worry about they all go roughly the same.

Actually it’s not I’m referred for bilateral knee injury. However I do have mental health diagnosis and currently take medications so that’s SGT I was hoping it would be in person. It states I should fill out these things and list my meds though
Thank you

Thank you it was alarming at first but mine is not too far my audiology is 90 miles away everything else is close by. But this virtual one alarmed me but I guess there’s nothing fi worry about I don’t do well with anxiety and especially office space. I’ll just wait and see

I have a question yall, it’s stupid but idk what to do at this point. I’m at 177 days at the PEB, 148 days with the Medical Officer & lease is up in May, where I’m at doesn’t do month to month so I’ll have to sign 6 months minimum. I don’t plan on living where I’m at if my findings are unfit. As long as it’s taking, should I find a month to month place or sign the 6 month extension? I really don’t know what I should do. I have to let them know in April.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe UNFIT = Retirement Orders = Ability to break lease early with SCRA. In this case, extending 6 months would be ok..but maybe give the landlord a heads up. With any luck, you'll get your findings in March and won't have to worry about it.

I’d just sign the 6 month lease because by the time you sign your findings and take terminal assuming you have a decent amount saved up, a good part of that lease will be up. You can also try breaking it once you get orders

I am in the process of building a house. We were pre-approved for the VA loan in December last year, and construction will be starting this month. I only learned that you cannot get the VA loan if you are within 12 months of ETS, unless you have a solid, verifiable job offer. However, the Navy keeps extending me 6 months at a time which means my LES will never show anything beyond that timeframe. The truth is that the VA home loan does not address us in IDES who have no control over the process. Navy Fed denied me because they said I needed a job letter or at least 12 months left on contract. We feel betrayed by this process in so many different ways. Any advice, based on experience would be highly appreciated.

I only have 18 days but yeah once findings do come back, it’s still a wait

I gave them a heads up, but they didn’t really care lol

You dont need to be overly concerned. I was concerned as well but the appointment was very good. Just be prepared to explain your symptoms, when they began and how they impact your daily living, your relationship, your job, etc. Mine was in person though but I do not see it being different from in person. Most of my mental health appointments with my doctors are virtual anyways.

I’m in the same situation. Just renew your lease. When your findings come back and you get your orders to get out you can use those orders to break your lease at no cost to you. They have to accept that since those orders are a PCS move. If they don’t want to accept that and try and make you pay to break the lease just have your lawyer contact them. That’ll straighten them up real quick lol

Yeah that’s what I’m worried about, because they are already acting they they don’t give a f*ck But yeah if worst comes to worst, guess I’ll threaten them with lawyers

I’ve only had to do it once with a landlord. Just give your orders to your IDES lawyer along with your landlords information and it’ll be solved within a week. You would be surprised on what a simple letter can do.
