Well i just had my c and p exams, they went really well i think. The doctor was really cool and laid back...he pretty much wrote down everything i said that was wrong. He had to measure my Ankle and Shoulder for degree of movement, but whenever it hurt he told me to stop. I have read nightmare stories on here about the va doctors poking and prodding even after they told them that it hurt. funny thing happend and he was like...um there is a rectal exam as well....but you can wave that...i told him lets not make this wierd ill just wave it, he was like i mean its not like you are claiming anything to do with that area anyways...lol so i think he would have subconciously (sp) tried to talk me out of it anyways. I have my final exam saturday which is my psych exam then im done with my exams.

Good news! :)

Thus, stay the course and remain strong in your pursuit for military disability retirement compensation via the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process.

Best Wishes!

Ya, i just read the different timelines and some i am like YES! not too much longer....then others im like...i hope im not stuck here for that long...

Rectal exam!!! Not that I wanted one but that was completely glossed over on mine as well as many other things. No pun intended, but thanks for pointing out how once more I was screwed by them.

lol didnt mean to point fingers at anyone about the rectal exam...lol

Now, that's nicely stated! :D

As much as this exam is hated (and even feared to a certain degree), remember that prostate cancer is one of the leading causes of death amongst adult males. Early detection allows for early cure. ;)

Well said...:)

That is true...another question, how long usually after C and P exams do you get to review you're Meb packet?

As long as your PEBLO is on top of things, once your C&P exam report comes back, usually about a week or 2 is when you should be able to recieve your full MEB packet.

ok then ot gets sent to PEB...and the waiting begins...or is it narsum first?

When you get called for your packet, that is the 3947/NARSUM review. You will have 5 calender days to make a decision.

Side note: Unless you fully understand and feel comfortable with what the MEB has decided, then you should take it to your local MEB counsel for advise.

I will probably take it anyways, even if i feel i do understand. A second pair of eyes is always a good thing. Thank you for the advice. My peblo just told me that QTC has 45 days to get the info back to us, but that they have passed that 45 day window....so she said who knows. I would assume that they would hurry it up.

Sascha is right on. I'd like to add that this is a fairly critical time in the process, and ensuring that the C&P exams/VA docs narrative is correct and that all required tests and appointments were completed and correctly annotated in your VA file and on the VA docs narrative (this is especially important when dealing with ROM or behaviorial conditions). Your MEB doc will get the VA docs narrative and all your C&P exam results and he/she will draft your NARSUM. Again, as Sascha mentioned, it is imperative that you ensure that the NARSUM is correct now before it gets pushed up to the PEB, rather than having to appeal a PEB decision that was based upon an inaccurate NARSUM. Bringing it in to legal for a review before you sign is highly encouraged. This is actually one of the only stages in this process that you have a degree of control/input.

Case in point; read my DoD IDES MEB/PEB timeline below:

Thus, it extended the "unofficial" time within the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process, but bottom line...well worth it!

Best Wishes!

Should i contact the QTC and ask them how long they think it will take to process my paper work? or do you think that would piss off my peblo?
