My Air Force Timeline (Shoulder and PTSD)

I am in complete and utter shock....30% DOD Permanent/90% VA. AND the VA said they found something in my review that I didn't claim that they suggest I file a claim for, so I'll work that process with my VA MSC, who is supposed to call me in the next few days. I did not think I'd get anywhere...

My Air Force Timeline (Shoulder and PTSD)

I actually have hearing loss/a prosthetic stapes bone in my ear, so a little more complicated. During my general exam, the provider asked about tinnitus as well. It's my understanding that's it's really easy to get rated for tinnitus, albeit max of 10% except for combat vets, because they can't...

IDES - AF Timeline & VA C&P Exams

Congratulations!! If I'm reading your previous posts right, looks like it took just over 30 days for you from time your PEBLO sent MEB Results/NARSUM to IPEB to getting results? That's awesome, especially considering lately I've been seeing a lot of time ranges of 60-90 days for that stage.

    Anxiously waiting

I can't speak to your condition, but what I would like to offer up, is advice to possibly seek out mental health support. I have lived with chronic pain for the last 9 years, which has impacted my ability to do my military duties, and that's something I have great pride in. Not only did my ego...

Do disabled veterans need a 180-day waiver for federal employment?

Oh I completely agree with your interpretation! The struggle is convincing the Air Force or other federal agencies of that. My hope, by posting this, was to get someone who had success on convincing a federal agency that the 180 day rule didn't apply to them and was hired on as a civilian, to...

Mine took just a couple days. My location holds weekly MEBs, on Thursdays, and I had appointment to meet PEBLO that afternoon. She sent package to AFPC Friday, and I got myPers confirmation of receipt that Monday, April 1st.
