Took about 45 days after separation to hit my bank…thats with me being a squeaky wheel

I received my initial payment about 45 days after separating. I still have to figure out how to get my taxes they took out reimbursed from the IRS…

I got my Severance Pay yesterday actually. My LES is also updated showing the severance pay.

Contacted Total Air Force center today. They said that my Severance pay was processed on 12 Oct. So I contacted DFAS and they said that yes they did their audit and sent it to my local finance office on the 12th and they should have processed it already…well they didn’t and finance doesn’t...

Update: Separated officially on 20 Sept. Received final paycheck 23 Sept. Finance told me I should receive my Severance Pay within 20 days of receiving my final paycheck. Im currently at day 22 and have not received it. Has anyone recently received theirs? How long does it take to receive it...

Not yet. Finance told me when I was outprocessing I should receive it 20 days after my final paycheck so I “should” receive it by the end of next week.

Sorry for the late reply. I got my orders 7 Sept. I have since completed my outprocessing and officially separated. 20 Sept was my DOS and I got my final paycheck on 26 Sept. They were extremely fast so I hope my Severance Pay is just as timely.

Let us know when you get your orders. I signed my 1180 on the 23rd and am waiting on my orders also

So even though your separation pay wasn’t supposed to be taxed they still did it and you had to file for the untaxed portion?

My best advice is keep on them. Sometimes you have to “push” them along a bit if you want things to move at a decent pace. Your PEBLO should be advocating for you as there is a timeline the CIS has to be completed. Request a meeting with your Commander and discuss you case. I did with mine and...
