When I got the CRSC approval letter in iPerms, that's when I called and they said they got it. It took a month to get the actual calculation back.

I called DFAS and they told me over the phone the date they received it.

Mine was all automatic, and right on time. Mine came before the shutdown, so I didn't see a lapse in my timeline, but I have to imagine things were slightly affected by the shut down. Calling works great, believe it or not. They've been very responsive when I've called, or submitted a request...

The tab was always there when I logged into MyPay. It didn't populate, however, until after DFAS calculated my CRSC pay. So, I got the CRSC approval from the Army, and then it was maybe another week before DFAS received the approval and did their calculation.

They went back to the date of my retirement. There was a new rule implemented right after I submitted my CRSC application. Prior to Aug 20th, 2025, I believe, you go back to the date of your retirement, after that and it's the date you submitted your CRSC request.

Ok, DFAS sent the Method A and B sheet. They definitely used 14 years 2 months in my calculations. I just don’t know where the 14 years came from since I only have 3604 points.

Interesting, I was out of town for a few months when I retired, so I don't recall a "SUMMARY OF RETIRED PAY ACCOUNT" letter. I'll call DFAS today and see if I can get a copy. Thank you for this, I'll see if I can track Methods A and B down.

Just commenting on this one to push it back up the list. Any of the resident experts ever see a case like this where the known values (dod gross pay, dod percentage, va percentage, crsc) don’t match what the calculator says crsc should be? He’s trying to see if it’s worth it to go thru the army...
