Just finished my formal board. took about 15 minutes of them looking over my records and paperwork to raise me from 10% DOD to 40% DOD. I used the lawyer they appointed me. biggest advice I can give is get as many reference letters from people you served with.
Just got my findings back and found multiple mistakes on not only the PEB paper work but also the VA Proposed ratings. Any one else have mistakes, if so how long did it take to get them fixed
if you don't have a fax number there are a lot of apps that will let you have faxes sent to your email. find one that works for you before you call the VA. you can also try your local fedx if there isn't a place near your office that has a Fax machine you can hijack for an hour
I did have to call twice cause the first person screwed up the fax. just make sure that you ask for your Proposed rating. they will give you a long talk about how they could change and nothing on this sheet is official yet ant then fax it to you
That's how long for the Board. if you call the VA after 10 days of the case going historical they will fax you your Proposed ratings. Regardless of what you read or have heard nothing was ever actually sent to you, you must request it after 10 days
Well ill keep this updated so hopefully you get some understanding of a timeline. but from the way the rest of this process has went I wouldn't be surprised of you found out before me.
for you guys and gals that had a quick VA turn around how many conditions did you claim? They have had my Package since the NOV. 7th and I have 11 claimed conditions.
I'm also on recruiting duty ( in the 4th). As soon as I get official findings they are signing a GOS for me. That gives them the authority to replace you. Have they mentioned a GOS to you? My replacement is already here and goes on production next month.
