I did not get to pick that date. Honestly I was expecting July. So when you get your retirement/separtion date; be prepared to hit the ground running in terms of outprocessing and appointments. It will come sooner than you think. Good luck to you as well.

Update: Got my retirement orders yesterday. It's effective 28 Jun 12 after 11 years 9 months and 29 days. Thank God.

Sorry to hear that. The crazy thing I found with ebenefits is how it said they were still gathering evidence for my claim. Yet I got my results last week. I would say dont off of what ebenefits says. But everyone's case is different...Hang in there

It's crazy because my I was originally being boarded for arthritis. So my board would have been over sooner. But I also got diagnosed with sleep apnea. It increased my VA rating. I had a total of 8 claims for the VA. I thought I wasn't getting a decision till this summer. But yeah...WOW my word...

Dec 11: MEB Initiated 31 Jan 12: Put into IDES 12 & 15 Feb 12: VA Appts 29 Feb 12: Reviewed and concured with the NARSUM 2 Mar 12: Package sent/arrived at AFPC about 5 or 6 Mar 30 Mar 12: Found unfit and my favorite...25 Apr 12: results/board recommended 30% permanent retirement...70% from VA 26...
