    Dropping retirement vs MEB

I totally understand. My husband has 26 years in and we are gambling the other way. Feel free to message me with your private information if your husband would like to talk to mine about why he is choosing to gamble this direction. Once you drop retirement paperwork you definitely cannot go MEB...

    Dropping retirement vs MEB

Retirement is not seamless, MEB is.....when OCONUS. So that is one small reason why MEB is better after 20 yrs.

    Leave time..

CO called today to inform DH that he is being referred to a MEB after DH filled out the MAR2. Because we are OCONUS(Oahu), I am trying to plan our escape route should be he be medically retired. SO, here is my questions, 1)How do they look at leave time during this situation. Does the army...

    Dropping retirement vs MEB

One thing that I have found with the MEB/PEB versus retirement is the VA. If you are retiring from Hawaii and not planning on staying here then you have to wait to do the VA portion of the paperwork when you return to the mainland(you must be available at the VA you began the process with for...

    Is the Dr right?

okay, that makes sense. My husband started having issue this May. He was then put on a profile that had no checked for everything except wearing boots. He then began the process of working through neurology, pain management(steroid shots made everything way worse!), CT and MRI scans, and then...

Lots of confusion and false information

LOL! Just saw this because my husband ended up hospitalized for a week. I might have to dip in my Army wife drug bag....full of great drugs that were prescribed but I didn't take! It was the most horribly stressful week that started with my husband having stroke-like symptoms: Weakness on Rt...

Lots of confusion and false information

Thank you for posting! I actually thought his MRI would give us some answers. When they told us the hardware looked good it was disheartening because we didn't have anyplace else to go. How long after your surgery did you begin having issues again?

Hey everyone, I have tried to go back and read all the posts and boards to help me decipher what the truth is but I am still left with a lack of understanding, please help in "wife language" :) I registered as my husband but he stays off the computer as often as possible due to the problem he is...
