    Severance pay question

At least you have a little more knowledge from someone else from a different perspective and pass it on to someone who may not know. Have a great holiday! Remember, if you don't ask you won't know anything. :)

    And after two years....

Believe me, two years is plenty long haha. Keep vigilant, and since I have memory issues I always tell myself when in doubt ask somebody . You never know if your question helps someone else. Anyway, you have an awesome holiday and be safe. :)

LA Times: Thousands of CA soldiers forced to repay bonuses a decade after going to war

So it isn't enough that servicemen get short changed to begin with, but now they are reneging on bonuses to those that offered to continue to fight....very classy (sarcasm). Honestly if this trend keeps up they are only shooting themselves in the foot for enlistment and retention . I'm all for...

    Severance pay question

Finance should be one the last few steps before final out processing . This is where they make sure all i's are dotted and t's are crossed. Verifying how much(if any) leave ,you cash in and whatnot. If your out date is on the 28th and you get paid once a month you should be getting it sometime...

    Advice on getting started

You can send copies of whatever evidence you want BUT they are still going to request records to verify the content. No way around it unfortunately. But yeah, I would contact the DAV for some help on this maybe a VA rep as well , although VA reps rarely even know about the PDBR to begin with.

    Question about a timeline

I think my adjudication was insanely long probably around 10 months plus. I could go back and check my emails...but I won't because I don't want to depress myself . lol

Decision received, need help deciphering letter

I feel bad for you. I really do. I'm at 2 years of waiting myself . Might as well send whatever stuff they sent you to fill out and see where it goes. Again, I truly sympathize with you.

    my docket number passed up?

Don't feel too bad, it has been two years for me and I am finally going to be sent up for final process. My docket was started 2014 like May or June. Hang in there. Try to keep occupied if you can otherwise it will send you batty. Or vent to us hehe. We feel your pain. :) PS. most VA reps will...

    And after two years....

My case was finally adjudicated and sent up for final process before sending it to my branch (Army). This was about a week ago I found out. I had waited an extra three weeks after submitting a request for update that had no response to. I'm sure it will take another damn two months just to get...

Medically Separated for the Wrong Condition Entirely

I can tell you right now PTSD is in fact non curable . It can be treated and managed but that is about it . treatment is not the same as a cure . A cure implies you will not suffer that which ails you . I say keep fighting it and keep resubmitting evidence .
