Hey, I just wanted to post my timeline to give others some insight. I am in the Navy, located in San Diego. How badly has the gov shutdown affected everyone else?


Limdu / MEB / PEB Timeline

1/22/2024 – 6/12/2025: LIMDU

6/16/2025: DES referral date

6/23/2025: Intake Peblo meeting

6/27/2025: NMA signed

6/30/2025: Legal brief

7/3/2025: DES lawyer meeting

7/8/2025: MSC submits VA claims

8/15/2025: Last C&P exam complete

9/8/2025: Submitted a rebuttal to get 2 related knee conditions added to NARSUM

9/25/2025: Claim closed on VA app, 100% proposed

10/6/2025: Referring provider signs and agrees with rebuttal

11/17/2025: Signed NARSUM, package sent to DC

12/29/2025: Peblo called for update, says she can see in system from PEB 40%DOD PDRL, still waiting for official findings

Not too sure what to expect next

When did you receive your “unfit” findings? I submitted NARSUM the same day and haven’t received fit unfit yet. I am Navy

During my last call with my Peblo, she said that she can see I got 40% DoD and PDRL, but they haven’t marked me as unfit yet. She said she’s never seen that before but thinks it’s because of the new system they got. So that’s what I am waiting on now I guess

That is what I thought as well. Maybe it's because of the new system the PEBLOs got and they can see things earlier? It doesn't make sense to me or my PEBLO how she can see basically a proposed DoD rating and PDRL and not be found unfit yet lmao. She messaged me and said she has an update for me so Ill post on this thread what she says.
 
UPDATE** 1/7/2026: My Peblo reached out to me and informed me that the PEB has found me unfit. So, she has my DoD%, PDRL, and unfit. She said I am on step 3 of 5 at the PEB. I was told she will contact me when the official findings are in, and it could take a couple of weeks.

"Your case was sent to Informal VA Rating Alignment on 20 JAN.



This is the step before finding delivery.



The average turnaround time is 130 days your case is at 64 days.



The findings have not changed thus far."


I am a little confused because the VA gave me a proposed rating back in September. Now I possibly have to wait 2 months for them to finalize the proposed ratings I've had for almost 4 months? RIP

Yeah, so that is 2 months just to get findings. Not even including waiting on retirement orders. I've seen people who got their case to the PEB a little before mine get their findings already so hopefully it's not gonna take that long.

I’m hoping it won’t take that long! I want to be medically retired already! I’m sure you too.
 
Has anybody seen any movement with cases? I'm starting to get irritated with this whole process

This step is not the PEB sending your case over to the VA. It is the PEB it self aligning your VA rating(s) for preferred condition(s) with the proposed VA rating(s). From my understanding. Your PEBLO is correct it is the step before you get you official findings. Now how long that will take is uncertain. I have heard there is a back log from the government shutdown/system update. My case went to the PEB 17Nov25(I think) when they were allowed to send cases again. 15DEC25 found unfit/at the adjudication stage (where you are now). 08JAN26 signed findings and sent back to PEB (same day). 28JAN26 received PDRL message and soft date of 15MAR26. I feel my case went pretty quick but my PEBLO was pretty good as well. Best of luck to you.

Sounds like the PEB is catching up on cases submitted after the shutdown.

My case has been back with the PEB since sep 16th 2025 so they haven’t got all the pre shutdown stuff done yet but it seems like they’re jumping back and forth I see people submitting cases as late as Nov/dec getting results the last month so who knows
