Trust me I understand, I have 13 years active duty and just started the MEB 2 weeks ago. I would have loved to retire but I understand my health comes first.

Just tell him exactly what you post. That you have back issues as well as mental issues and it is effecting your work performance and would like to be considered for a Med Board.

I just started the MEB about ten days ago in the Army and haven't even been assigned a PEBLO. How long does it take to usually get one assigned? My other question is I already picked up my Medical records. When do I start to do the VA claims? Is it once I am found unfit?

How long did it take for you to be able to view your stuff in AKO for IDES after you got recommend for the MEB

Dotlak, are you going through Fort Gordon if so what is your time line like? I agree on not getting the surgery at this time is yours herniated on L4&L5 as well?

Shit sounds pretty much the same. I have herniated disc L4&L5 and stenosis. I am suppose to see a neurosurgeon next week but don't want to get the surgery right now especially going through the MEB process. What will a strong write be for my back and who does it the VA? I just want to make sure...

Ctbenja1015, what exactly was your condition that you were found unfit for with your back and what did DoD rate you at just for your back? The reason I ask is cause I have the same two conditions that you have and got refereed for a MED Board out of Fort Gordon last week.
