    Atterbury NG Timeline

I'm actually in this same National Guard boat. I have my Formal Board next week and I'll get a final DA 199 soon after. I'm completely in the dark about what happens in the National Guard after your retirement orders are generated. Is the expectation you stay in until your unit/state gives you...

    CRSC Affected by PEB Results?

This was actually the informal reconsideration to my rebuttal of my original DA199. Only avenue left for me is the formal board and I'm not sure what good that will do.

    CRSC Affected by PEB Results?

You're right, I just saw a thread explaining what the V Codes mean: Disability incurred in a combat zone, but not combat-related. V1 - No - No Federal employment benefits. V3 - No - Severance pay taxed initially. V4 - Yes - Severance pay not recouped by VA. I can stay on for the formal board...

    CRSC Affected by PEB Results?

Here’s an update I didn’t expect, can you help me understand this? JAG says informal board rebuttal came back with, v4 code, putting narrative on my 199 with “occurred in combat zone.” This is instead of putting a combat code that would go on my orders. They told me that if I got the combat...

MEB/PEB: NG with Existing VA Rating - FT Sill - Timeline

My team wrote up on a VA Form 21-4138 the following: I.A.W. M21-1,X.i.6.F.2.c. The IDES Participant requests consideration of previous C&P Exams for his Condition X dated DDMMMYY and Condition Y dated DDMMMYY, both being part of the IDES Referred conditions, for DOD Rating purposes. I confirm...

I just appealed my case yesterday. How long did it take from when you submitted an appeal to when they got back to you with an FPEB date?

MEB/PEB: NG with Existing VA Rating - FT Sill - Timeline

Great question. A new process rolled out in the middle of my trying to obtain an LOD after the fact. I have 1 LOD and it's for a fracture I incurred on deployment and the Dr. just wrote one up immediately. My medical staff tried to get me an LOD after deployment, something they certainly can do...

I do have such awards, are you saying that for CRSC they will help?

    CRSC Affected by PEB Results?

I do have an event, but only with statements from officers, no in service documentation until the end of the deployment. Is that shaky ground to make a case, or do you think that can work?

    CRSC Affected by PEB Results?

Civilian docs. I am National Guard so all my medical documents, outside of deployment, are civilian and they only have a 7 year retention policy. I've mentioned the back pain on pre/post deployment documents before, even have MRIs that predate their findings but for some reason they didn't...

    CRSC Affected by PEB Results?

Hey there, I'm looking for help with my recent DA 199 and how it affects CRSC. I received my DA 199 today with a rating I'm very happy with, and yet Section V states Non-Combat related. Here's the crux of it: 22 years of service, 3xcombat deployments. 1xas a ground guy, 1xas an aircraft...

No, and here's my understanding of the PEB after speaking to my JAG Officer, though I could be wrong. PEB is local to an active duty base, so each base might have different timelines. After researching a bunch of cases on this forum from different bases it looks like 20 - 30 days after your case...

    Va ratings waittime

Fit vs Unfit is decided by DOD during your PEB. Then, after being found unfit, your case is forwarded to the VA for ratings. I was found unfit July 13th, VA started the case Aug 1, ratings were completed by Aug 30th. Still waiting on ratings from DOD on Form 199.

Timeline-Installation Formerly Known as Fort Rucker

Timelines are all over the map. It only took 30 days from my last C&P Appt (VES not QTC) to get my NARSUM back. Day after that it was forwarded to the PEB and it looks like it may be approx. 2 months from last VA appointment to receiving DA199. If you faced that timeline you'd at least have made...
