Update, DFAS gave me my taxes back and coded as not taxable

I have a dod rating of 20% and a va rating of 20% for that injury, so i would think that i should not be taxed on the severance pay because i will be paying this back via my VA disability that is not taxed.

I recently recieve my severance pay taxed, i had my local finance submit a CMS case to get my taxes refunded to me because i have a VA rating for the same thing i was separated with severance for, the case came back as closed because it wasnt combat related. I feel like i still am elidgable...

My ETS was Feb 2. I signed my stuff right around the first of the year, i did LDES, it went super fast, i separated on Feb 2

Well there should be a pay date on the LES, so you should see it by then, but my credit union pays way early, like a couple days after it shows up in mypay.

What was your re enlistment code? Im just curious because mine basically says pending with the 6H, just wondering if it gets changed to something more permanent. Sorry about all of your struggles, probably why your severance has been so delayed

Did you get you NGB form 22 the day you separated or later? I got mine the day i separated with a reenlistment code of 6H, which is pending discharge-involuntary i wonder if that changes to something else?
