Time line / Outcome of a Petition for Relief

Does any one know the time line for a Petition for Relief? Mine was submitted 16 Sept 2016. And does anyone know what the trend for outcomes is looking like? I was found 20% DOD and 100% VA. The Board stated that they believed the Mental Health conditions were due to my Diabetes and medication...

    Eval question...

Thanks. I really appreciate it. I've been hitting my head on a desk trying to figure out how to word something that sounds professional, to the point, and still says I'm doing the right thing. Lol, some how "Went to appointments, didn't get arrested, didn't yell or throw things at people." Just...

    Eval question...

I'm wondering if any one has any examples for block 43 for their evals while being on a PEB? I haven't been allowed to see patients (I'm an HM1 IDC) and I'm not allowed to do administrative work. Essentially all I do is go to appointments, try not to yell and throw things, get arrested, or make...

    Petition For Relief

I was just found 20% DOD 100% VA. The 20% was for Diabetes (type 2) with a class 3 rating for PTSD and TBI. I'd like to PFR because the reasoning the board gave for not finding the PTSD/TBI as unfitting was based on year old information with out referencing the letters/addendum that were...

    Time line for notification VA/DOD

Doggjkl2002... 60 days?!? Wow, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. I figured if anything in this long drawn out process that the time from DOD to PEBLO would be a week to two weeks at most. Seems like it would be a simple hand off and signature.

    Time line for notification VA/DOD

Ive been to the FPEB in April and a little bird told me I was found unfit (15 June). The same little bird told me the VA has finished rating my PEB and now the Navy Yard is doing their final touches (started 26 July). My question is: Once the PEB/Navy Yard are done doing what ever it is they do...

    VA form 21-526ez

I was asked by the VA to fill out and submit VA form 21-526ez for an additional 3 items. My question is; Do I need to list all of my claimed items again or just the 3 new ones? For back ground I was found unfit (FPEB) in Aug.

    Preparation for Decision...

Han SF... yeah, they said I need to fill out VA form 21-526ez for 3 more issues they found. That can only be good news., right?

    Preparation for Decision...

I never got a memo, letter, or phone call about being found unfit either. I had to contact a friend who just happens to have access to look it up. But I did just get a packet in the mail from the VA asking me to claim and submit any documentation for 3 other issues (Achilles tendinitis...

My second claim just went to Historical (ebenefits says that a letter has been sent) and my wife was added as a dependent to my list of claims.

    Preparation for Decision...

agardner... I emailed him yesterday and he got back with me in under an hr. It was short and to the point. I told him it had been two months since I went up for the FPEB and was wondering if any results had come back. He said "Nothing yet. It has been with VA-Disability Rating Officer for the...

    Preparation for Decision...

rkortus... Im in the same boat. My second claim's status went to "Preparation for Decision" with an estimated completion date of 8/07/16 - 8/16/16. When I spoke with my PEBLO he wouldn't come out and say I was found Unfit, but that everything was with the VA Ratings officer. I had to ask a...

Found out today I was found "Unfit" (June 15th). Wondering how long it will take with the VA?

    Time Line?

I met with the Formal Board on 12 May. I was wondering if anyone had any idea as to how long it actually takes to get results back? Ive heard any where between 2 weeks to 4 months (which seems like a really long time... but then again it is the Gov).

    Corpsman (Medical) found fit???

rahollow, thanks and good luck to you too. If it comes back as fit for continued active service, Id appeal it. It seems as if 90+% of the medical department comes back as fit (they figure you can always just work at a hospital). But they don't take into account what your actual job may entail...

    Corpsman (Medical) found fit???

I talked with the lawyer today. She said that the diabetes is pretty much set and she dosent think they will change their mind on that. BUT she said with an updated personal statement, updated note from my Psy, and a new NMA from the hospital (where I was assigned when I got put on the board)...
