Mrs Adams will tell you nothing. I assure you. In fact she will be a total bitch about it and tell you that you will have to wait now until it’s all complete. FYI, I had my briefing in April. I still have no orders. Settle in. It’s gonna be a very long wait. The other services get it done in 6...

    Air Force BCMR

Sir I stand corrected. I am backwards in my thinking. You are very correct.

No. They cannot. The Board of Correction can only do so ifnit was a clerical mistake. If you are trying to get your disability percent raised to have your character changed to retired from discharged, you cannot do that with this board. They are only there to appeal for a clerical error and change.

I’m sorry my brother that’s bad news. And from what I understand, there is no appeal process. “By law, the decision of the secretary (or designee) is final. There are no provisions for appeal or reconsideration by the PDBR. On the other hand, previously denied BCMR/BCNR appeals may be...

That seems to be the going timeline. 7 months from notification to orders. The Army can do it in 2 months though. Wow. I’m waiting on 11 years of backpay at 75%. They need to move their asses. I guess now the question is how long will it be until DFAS gets their part finished and start your...

    PDBR Processed, Retirement Received.

Okay thank you for the info! You aren’t getting any retro pay? They owe me almost $300k at this point as I’ve not taken any VA comp. I’m hoping this moves along. I got my decision in feb but Mrs Adams held me up a month with her slow butt getting my SBP paperwork emailed to me.

You were approved for retirement and were AF? I am also, still awaiting orders. Have you received yours yet??

I received my recommendation now what???

You are all talking about Ms. Adams. She is a horrible person. I called her 49 days after my original contact with her and she said that if I called her again, she would “burn my package and I’d never see a dime.” It took her three months from start to finish and that was in March when there...

WOW. Air Force guys...I just talked to a friend on FB who just finished this process. He sent in his package in August 2014. He got his decision letter on July 17 2016. He got SBP briefing in September 2016. He got his new orders in May 2017. He got his DFAS account in March 2018. He was just...

I would love to hear when you get your orders. Did you get a second letter from the AF directing MPF to change your records yet? I got another approving letter after the original decision and SBP briefing in May. My SBP was done end of April.

    Air Force BCMR

I read that document from Yale Law. That pertains to appealing to have your records corrected. It states that this board cannot change from discharged to retired. They don’t have that authority. But I’m no lawyer so I don’t know for certain.

Army is fast. You will not the stupid Air Force SBP briefing. You are at least two months faster. And I keep reading things about a 6 year limitation on retro pay? What is that about? If that’s the case I will fight that to the Supreme Court. They cannot possibly tell me that they are gonna...

    PDBR Retirement Decision

I have the same thing going on with me. I was medically discharged in 2007, and applied for review with PDBR in June 2015. My decision was received in February 2018. I have been recharacterized to 80% and retired. Yes your retro pay will be taxed and it is at a supplemental income rate of 25%...

I haven’t received my orders yet. I received my letter the first week of Feb 2018. My timeline will be slightly delayed though due to my SBP briefing being delayed a month. I have done that briefing and on May 22 I received the AF letter directing personnel at Randolph to change my discharge...

Also, yes, I got Tricare, receiving payments for all past medical bills, and receiving retro pay of $258,350.77. I had no VA offset though as the VA rated me 0% service connected.

Yea his just give you guys an idea, I submitted my claim in June 2015. In December 2016, I got an email response from the pentagon email address that said” Sir The recommendation of the PDBR was forwarded to the Secretary of the Air Force's Designated Decision authority on 12 December 2016...

Thank you Sir! I appreciate that. I only spent 9 years enlisted but it was a rough 9 years? It all changed after 9/11. The Air Force went from a business with 8 hr shifts and rotating days off to after 9/11 12 hour shifts and no days off. Fun.

Yea she crushed my hopes of a speedy payment also with her words lol. I can’t understand how it could take three years to process a new set of orders and DFAS to pay us, but then again, it’s the military. I looked online for something and I would assume she was talking about vMPf. It’s only...
