Title 32 Technician Medical Retirement Scenarios (Please limit posts to "Technician Medical Retirements")

Yes it is, that’s why I choose Tricare, I’m FERS DR. But what I’m saying for you is just make sure your disability your getting MEB for is 30% or higher. If not you would get a medical separation, and I think you would have to wait till your retirement age, assuming you have your guard 20 yr...

Is the 100% for that one condition ? I’m 100 too, and when I got medically retired it was for my heart condition, which the VA rated 60, so that was my DOD percent, 60.

Ok, you would still have to be at 30% DOD or higher to get Tricare right away. But of course if you don’t, then on the tech side you can keep your medical insurance. But read old post of Jmc81 on tech insurance. I was DOD 60% medically retired, so I picked Tricare over BCBS. I had like 3800 points.

Awesome, good luck, make sure that whatever there medically retiring you from is 30% or higher. That way you qualify for Tricare and also CRSC. Now if you have 7200 points, you should be able to get CRDP and VA pay.

Military Reserve Technician going through IPEB then disability through OPM/HRO

Try this website, type it up. Once in that page look at retirement section and compare the differences in pay. Also, start getting copies of your SF-50 as it will be hard later down the road.

Did you contact army benefits center civilian? Also, to help you out what a regular tech retirement pay and DR pay would be is to check your EBIS. It gives you an estimate. Mine was almost on point. I made more on DR than a regular retirement if I stayed till 62. I’ll send the link of ebis when...

Commander refusing to give LOD/National Guard State Active Duty/T32

I’m sorry for what your husband is going through, but since it happened on state active duty orders, I’m pretty sure VA won’t approve it, since it’s not federal. Did you try to hire a lawyer ? I saw this online VA Disability Benefits for National Guard and Reservists | PTSD Lawyers

public law disability 97-253, that’s what we fall under as military techs. Once you start getting interim payments, that means your almost done with your close to being done with your DR process. Your process was faster than most of us on here. It took a while to get my CSA number
