    You have to pay back the severance pay. Retirement will give you health benefits for life which is much better than any severance pay.

    You shouldn't be able to EAS when on a medical board. I think you'll be put on medical hold until your findings come back.

    DoD doesn't do VA math. 10+10+10+10=40 However, it depends on how the DoD looks at your referred condition. I was referred for a TBI w/migraines and they only took the Migraine rating.

    January Case, Received findings When to expect EAS

    It takes 3-5 weeks for your EAS to be updated, and you can apply for 20 days PTAD for separation, along with any leave you have saved up which could put you close to three months. Depending on your time in service you could appeal the board results. However, that could extend you well past 3 months.

    Thats odd...migraines are a residual of a TBI. So if it was rolled up in your TBI VA claim that would make sense. There seems to be a lot of hesitance to add MH to a MEDBOARD.
