Are you saying that I will receive my full VA ($2900) regardless of which retirement I select? I thought I could only get full VA with length of service retirement.

I apologize for being such a pain. Since I am at the end of the IDES process, will I still have the option to select a length of service retirement without being able to voluntarily retire? Or will I be forced to take a disability retirement?

If DFAS is going to give me whatever is most advantageous than how do I ensure I get the length of service retirement (55%) instead of the disability retirement (75%)? I would rather take the LOS-55%, knowing I can then get CRDP without having to apply. I don't think I want to take my chances...
