Its definitely not a fast process. I had my SBP briefing last year and didn't get my new dd214 and retirement orders until last fall. Immediately sent everything to DFAS and they've been working on it for a couple months. From what I've heard average time for DFAS to process it is 3-6 months...

Total time from when they received my application was about 22 months. My SBP briefing is scheduled for this Friday and once that's done they can start to update my file. Good luck and hang in there, it's a long process...
