I signed my narsum on the same day as you, I got 80% “proposed rating from the VA” it wasn’t schizo, but depression anxiety mood disorders and other stuff. You still haven’t received ur rating back?

I decided not to talk to medical lawyer. Ikr iam being expedited as well. I thought I would have it by now.

Just wait till you get ur ratings back and if you don’t agree with it request a formal appeal or va reconsideration

Your NARSUM will not help you estimate your rating. The DBQ completed by the VA mental health examiner will help.

@carlond I am a former IPEB and FPEB JAG, federal FPEB and TDRL counsel, and current private IDES-focused attorney. @chaplaincharlie is correct. The DBQ is the only document that speaks directly to VA ratings decisions. That said, @Ema95 is spot on when advising that you wait to get the ratings back. Each VA rater - although trained well - is different and can interpret the DBQ along a continuum. QA notwithstanding, there are always chances for mistakes. Put simply, there are too many factors going into your potential VA ratings outcome that would yield a valuable estimate. Any skilled MSC or PEB attorney could give you a ballpark ratings estimate, but it would likely be a very broad estimate. IDES is very much a waiting game. Without signs of something going wrong administratively, the phase you’re in is one of those times. Hopefully, the results will come back soon, and you get a satisfactory rating.

You will almost certainly be found unfit. DoD retention criteria disqualifies schizophrenia without exception.
If you have schizophrenia, you are almost certainly unfit.

Carlond did you hear anything back? im getting medboarded out as well for it and would like to know approximate timelines
