Tricare Eligibility

Hello everyone,

I got a permanent medical retirement from the army last year. I have been getting treatments from the VA medical facility since separation. I am 90% disabled. I haven't enrolled in Tricare yet. Is there a time limitation for tricare enrollment? or I am eligible for life? I don't need Tricare for now but I might need it when I have a family. Any information would be helpful.
