Does this give me any clues on what to expect?

Just checked out eBenefits and it says that on Dec 17 my status was changed to Pending Decision Approval. The last step that I had gone through was signing notification of my case going to the IPEB and turning in my LOE.

I've seen several threads on here mentioning the Pending Decision Approval change, but they all seem to be after the member was notified of Fit/Unfit by the PEB. Does the Pending Decision Approval give me indication on what my outcome will be in terms of unfit/fit? I know in the IDES timelines that I have seen, the VA ratings decision takes place only after an unfit finding. Just seemed out of line for the timeline to see that change in eBenefits first.

Appreciate any input.
 
About two weeks after my Ebennies status changed to Pending Decision Approval, I received my proposed DoD/VA ratings. Also, I was never notified as to whether or not I was found Fit/Unfit for duty and I went through the IDES process twice.

Do they bother coming up with and giving you proposed DoD/VA ratings if they are going to have you deem you fit and returned to duty?
If you were never notified the first time you went through the IDES process, what was the next step in the process for you? Were you just randomly returned to duty? Did you have the same eBenefits status change that time as well?

So my case was similar to yours. Once it changed I immeditaly went to my peblo and shocker no answers. Can the VA 800 number and they will at least tell you if you have ratings proposed and where it is

Thanks. I'll give them a call and see. I tried the MSC but she said even if she had any info she couldn't give it to me because everything had to come from the PEBLO.

Again, anyone have an idea if they will have ratings if the finding is going to be fit vs unfit?

I understand nothing is 100% certain because they could try to rate at 0% and say I am fit. I'm just wondering generally, if I call the VA and they say they have ratings and they are back at AFPC, are chances that I'll be unfit assuming my rating is higher than 10%? My understanding was they didn't even do ratings until they came to an unfit finding (based off of the IDES timelines I have seen).

The first time I went through IDES, I was found unfit for duty. I requested Permanent Limited Duty to get to 20 years and was approved. If you are found Fit for Duty, your case does not go to the VA, therefore, there wouldn't be any ratings to give to you. My ebennies was the same both times.
