Man. Your PEBLO doesn't sound like a very good PEBLO at all!

Have you contacted your Ombudsman?

I had a good Ombudsman that was always "quick time" when you needed her to jump in and not afraid to jump in, either.

Just remember, you are still getting a pay check, accumulating leave time, and gaining retirement/severance time towards your final pay.

I know. It can really be stressful waiting for everything to just get over with. Believe me - I know.

But see if you have an Ombudsman who can get a simple and clear answer from your PEBLO as to why this is taking so long.

It seems like if the PEB received your VA ratings back in November, then you should have received your 199 from PEBLO by now.

Wonder if everyone in your PEB took leave over the holiday season?

My turn-around time from PEB with VA ratings to PEBLO with 199 in hand was two months - without a holiday season.

I understand your in a hurry but sometimes rushing things aren't beneficial. I am in the MEB process at Fort Gordon and two soldiers here was found unfit on our end but when their paperwork went up they were found fit. I don't know what it happening up top but I think things are changing and not so much for the soldier benefit. So just be patient.

Thanks I'll look into I'm being patient and yeah checks and leave are accumulating but when your family is waiting its a different story well level of patients everything started off good and now this is my only hold up just wondering why at the ipeb crazy...

I totally get what you mean. So give a nice call to your Ombudsman and see what's going on.

Sometimes, there's not a damn thing that can be done - the case is complex, people went on leave, the workload is burying the few people that actually do this work, & on & on.

The important thing for you is that hopefully, they will be able to arrive at a correct answer - and sometimes that can take time.

I would rather you have to wait an extra month now and get a correct answer, than shave a month off now and it's all FUBAR - an outcome which would only keep you on AD even longer!

Let us know how this shakes out.

And where are you getting your IDES done at?

Wonder if others are getting long turn-around times....

Keeping fingers crossed,

OK I will take your advice and thanks a lot I'm in the ides at ft.Knox and everyone else isnt having the problem

Check your inbox. I responded to your message you sent. I know that when my ratings got sent back to the PEB from the VA everything sat on the PEB desk for a month or so before it even moved so sometimes it might just need that reminder from your Ombudsman like livewire suggested, and sometimes it'll just get grabbed up when it gets grabbed up. I know it can be frustrating not knowing if you are not even found fit or unfit yet, but from what I've determined there are other little ways of figuring that out which I mentioned to you in the message I sent. Good luck with everything and keep us posted.

Just to let you know you are not alone, I am going through IDES at Ft Knox and my stuff is taking forever! It looks like the FPEB is going to add a new referred condition...which means back to the VA for more ratings. Which equals forever and a day.

It's hell waiting for all of this to play out. I was in DC two weeks ago for my FPEB. After a mix up which required me to change my flight (at my own expense), the board finally convened. It lasted more than an hour (I can be long winded). The attorney and I both thought it went well. We go back in after deliberations and the board decides to recess without a decision on any of my issues until after I had a follow-up with one of the three cardiologists I am seeing. Even though recessing the board pending the follow-up appointment was the correct thing to do, I was devastated. I truly didn’t see that one coming. I thought I was going to get some finality, some closure, but no, not yet! The wait is still on. The board is supposed to reconvene tomorrow...we'll see. With the sub-zero temps, I am hoping that hell has frozen over and I will get a good ruling from the FPEB.

Ugh, enough of me…sorry to hijack your post with my rant. Hang in there and know you are not hanging alone!

no doubt and I'll try to remain calm about it . you have had a roller coaster ride I see ! I hope it all works out in your favor and evevery thing goes well for you .
