Timeline question

My claim is with the VA now I had a prep for decision last week and then went to pending decision approval the next day. I also have a closed claim in the historical claims in ebenefits. I know it takes awhile for this entire process to be complete. Just wondering what a general timeline from this step is. How long once the pending decision approval and prep for notification are finished. Does anyone happen to know a general timeline from here? also I'm navy and have been hearing it takes a bit longer in this branch. So just curious how long it may take to receive findings I guess.

I'm navy as well. My peblo said it takes about 40-50 days to hear anything back from once the second claim in eBenefits closes. However, I'm not entirely sure how accurate this is. I'm only on day 34 of this next process considering my second claim closed on 9/21.

Good to know no one said anything when I asked about how long it usually takes after that. I was trying to find out more today but as usual no one really gives me any answers.

I'm on the same step and its almost to 60 days hurry up and wait lol My meb started in January so this has been a very long wait ready for it to be over.

How long has the VA been taking to make decisions for fit or unfit and ratings lately.

VA only rates and does not make fit/unfit decision. PEB makes fit/unfit determination.

ON my ebenefits pg I'm in the pending approval phase
If you are pending approval it most likely means that you are already found unfit and just weren't notified. I was in the same situation and called last week to find out I was found unfit three weeks ago.

This isnt always true. I have been in pending decision approval status since May 2016, then found fit, and then just 3 days ago was found unfit by FPEB. My VA rep says those status changes in ebennies don't really mean much at all because the IDES system works incredibly different to a standard claim process. There are some correlations of ebennies status and IDES status, but be careful because I fell off into the false hope trap it creates
