I am in the Army close to the end hopefully, I received my unfit memo last week and noticed today that my ebenfits changed from gathering of evidence to preparation for decision. Does this mean there is light at the end of the tunnel almost. How long at this point can I expect to get my ratings from the VA?

I'm USMC but the VA portion should all be the same for us. Mine went from prep for decision on the 28th of OCT and then on that following Monday 31 OCT that claim went to historical and a new claim opened stating gathering of evidence. For us that means the VA sent it back to our DOD side and we are waiting to sign for our ratings to get a new EAS date.
The longest portion of the process seems to be after the VA has your ratings and then sends it back to the PEB/DOD for approval.. for most people it seems to take 40-50 days for this last step, however I am on day 85. PEB accepted my case May 9th still waiting on findings

Marine Corps, but from my understanding the process is the same regardless of branch

About how long did it take for you to receive VA ratings?
Case was accepted by the PEB on May 9th. VA finished the ratings August 11th and I just got my findings back and accepted them yesterday
