Do your percentages post after claim is closed?

hello all!!
Does anyone know if our percentages post on ebennies or vet.gov after our claim is closed? Mine is in prep for decision right now... and also does anyone know how long it stays in prep for decision? It's driving me crazy.. I check constantly I can't even focus on what's going on in front of me hoping something will change..

Once the VA is done doing proposed percentages they will mail a copy to you and send your packet back to the IPEB who will then do your 199 and send it to your PEBLO. This process can be a few weeks to a few months. It really depends on if your regions VA is backed up and who's desk it lands on at the VA plus the IPEB has awhile also to draft your 199 once they get it back from the VA. Prepare and plan for 120 days is what they say, but hope for sooner. Once you see your claim go historical then that means the VA has completed percentages and have sent copy to you and IPEB. Also the systems sometimes glitch and will jump back a step or two and timelines will go out further. Don't stress out because it is 99% of the time just a system issue. Again once you see claim go historical then you know your close to done.

Not when your are in the IDES. Once your claim is finalized (after you are out of the military and provide them a DD-214) you may see them on eBenefits.

My recommendation is to not create any additional anxiety by checking eBenefits right now. It is pretty much useless to you until you get your DD-214.
 
Yes!!! I do need to stay off ebennies!!! It's just I'm so ready for this process to be over, like everyone else. But I will try to be more patient with the process is just overwhelming at times. I'll finally be able to exhale when it's over. Thanks for the replies. It means a lot that someone is listening to all my venting..
 
My last day in the army was the 11th. On the 12th a new claim openedon ebenefits. Its at prep for decision. Slightly confused since i got all my ratings when med boarding

Oh that's just your claims that you claimed during the med board

Yes, you do get your ratings, however they are only "proposed". Once you become a veteran (have a DD-214 in hand) those proposed ratings are sent to the VA and they are then finalized.

That can take anywhere from 10 days to 60 days based on the workload.

In almost every single circumstance the ratings that are proposed will be the same once the claim is finalized.

In my own circumstance, I had one condition that was unfitting (referred) get rated by the VA as EPTS, the Army considered it service because of the 8 year rule and included the condition in my medical retirement.

When my ratings were finalized, the VA reversed the EPTS decision and rated the condition as service connected.

That doesnt make any sense. The va is the one who gives the proposed ratings after going over the paperwork once. Why go over it again?

Administrative review, part of the process.

Did you give your DD-214 to the VA? Most of the time it happens when your branch of service gives it to you.

At that time you are supposed to meet with your MSC to give him/her the DD-214 and fill out some paperwork for the VA OIF/OEF transition coordinator to contact you to make your first appointment.

If you are unsure about the VA receiving the DD-214, you can upload it into the new claim you see on eBenefits. Without the DD-214 the VA will not finalize your proposed ratings.

After your claim goes historical. You can call your MSC, and he/she might tell you your ratings. Or after 10 days of it being historical , you can contact a VA Rep (using the chat was better for me) and ask them to fax your percentages to you. They claim they mail them to you, but I still haven't received them (one month later). For the DOD claims/percentage, you can calculate the possible percentage by using this chart.
