On 31 December 2020 a PCM (not the one I'm assigned to) initiated my MEB following a recommendation from my Rheumatologist. He told me to expect a call the following week from my PEBLO IRT the MEB process. It has been over a week and I wondering if anyone has any advice as far as how to follow up or what the timeline usually looks like when an MEB has been initiated. I'm sure I'm just anxious and impatient right now but I'd love it if anyone could share their experience. Thanks in advance!

It can take months for the next step to occur!

Could depend on duty station and number of conditions, I'm sitting on month 12.

I received a call from my PCM (acting mental health doctor) stating I was recommended for an MEB and the PEBLO would call me that following week. Within 3 days, I received a call from the PEBLO and begun the process. Everything has been super quick for me as I am told that MH patients depending on referred condition are pretty quick for processing. In my case I was referred to the board with Bipolar, PTSD, and Social Phobia. I am also on Lithium, Seroquel, Propanol, and Prozac. Lithium/Seroquel are disqualifying medications and Bipolar is an automatic disqualifying condition. With all this stated, I believe the others are right depends on your duty location/referred conditions.

I hope that helps.
