im about to be assigned to BCP how does that affect the out come of getting out if found unfit?

The only thing that it affects is if your 6 month BCP assignment ends before you get your results. They can process you for admin sep after the 6 months assignment

Being on bcp is only a negative if you want to promote. Your medboard takes priority. Your MO should sign off on bcp saying you’re not fit if it for physical reasons. But never the less medboard is priority.

I had this same issue and luckily I was able to make weight while on observation, but the way that my S-3 explained it is basically I would still have to go to the workouts and they would want me to focus on my diet since I am not able to physically participate fully and as long as there is some sort of progression you will most likely not have any issues even past 6 months.

being assigned to BCP won’t set back or mess with anything dealing with your med board. try and get the MO to sign a temporary exemption due to your injury. the new BCP order states injuries are no longer a reason to be exempt from BCP however that is only relating to short term injuries. since you’re in a medboard you’ve already been through 90 days light duty and 1 year of LIMDU correct ? that can be an argument you bring up. however if you do get assigned and don’t show any weight loss progress then things get a little tricky. try to stay off or get off the program as much as you can.
