Army MEB with 19 years 1 month.

Are you gonna make it?
Thanks so much for asking. It looks like I am going to make it.

So far this is my updated timeline.

MRDP - August 16, 2021
Referral and claims development completed - August 27, 2021

VA exams - September 13, 2021 - October 26, 2021

MEB Rebuttal/Narsum - November 19, 2021
IMR - November 26, 2021(didn’t come back in my favor. Doctor forgot to add the P3 to add a failing condition).

Informal PEB - December 6, 2021
Found unfit - December 15, 2021

IPEB findings - January 13,2022 (disagreed requested a formal hearing)

IPEB finding/proposed Army ratings - February 14, 2022 (agreed, waived formal hearing because the other condition was added. I requested a VARR for 1 of my ratings).

I am told the VARR will take up to a month. Mine is fairly easy. All medical evidence suggests a higher rating. My doctor also wrote an updated note.

I expect to be out of the Army soon. I have and amazing PEBLO and Army lawyer. They have been spot on for everything.

All of the people who reached out to give me info in this forum were spot on as well, helping me get to my 20. If I had not listened. I would not have made it. So far this process has been 7 months. I will update as things move along.

Hello @shortess

Thank you for sharing your excellent news. I am glad that people like
@tony292 @Provis @chaplaincharlie (and others) have the expertise to lead someone to the successful ending (20 yrs AD) you achieved.

I do not have that specific expertise, but I was silently rooting for you.

Congratulations,
Ron

Thanks so much. @tony292 @Provis and @chaplaincharlie truly understand this process very well. I understood each time when an election/decision came up because of them.

They helped me not stress this process so much. I’m so grateful. There are many PEBLOs and attorneys who are not as knowledgeable as these gentlemen. Thank you all for being individuals who truly define what it still means to serve. Blessings to all of you. I will pay it forward.

Happy for your successful journey through the PEB process. Have a great next chapter of life!

Glad to see your gonna make it!!! Thats awesome.
