Package Stuck with PEBLO - My Timeline

It's been a month since my C&P exam results came back and my PEBLO still hasn't had me review my package or sign the 618. He acts annoyed every time I try to contact him and I have a feeling he's avoiding answering my calls and emails. Any advice as to what I can do to get him to do his job?

Here is my timeline for reference:

Oct 21 - IRILO Started/Code 37 applied
Nov 21 - AFPC returns me to duty
Dec 21 - AFPC changes their mind and resumes MEB/Code 37 applied again
Dec 21 - Commander Impact Statement signed/do not retain
10 Jan 21 - First QTC appointment
11 Jan 21 - Second QTC appointment
13 Jan 22 - Final QTC appointment
1 Feb 22 - Received C&P exam results

It's been crickets since 1 Feb. Any advice would be appreciated. I don't want to keep calling if he's just avoiding me but I also am concerned that if I go to my commander that it will just piss him off even more and then it may take even longer. I just want some answers and for this to move forward.

Did you sign an AF form 618 when you received the results from your PEBLO? If so, then he more-than-likely sent it to the IPEB. The IPEB will then send it to the VA for ratings. This process takes time. My stuff was sent to the IPEB on 1 Feb 22 as well, and I am currently waiting for ratings. I usually just call my PEBLO to see if there are any updates in case I missed something or the VA website is down. You can also check the status online on VA.gov.

No, he hasn't had me sign the 618 yet. According to policy (and from what he told me) he had 20 days to do so, which makes him overdue by over a week at this point. Nothing has been sent to the IPEB.

If it takes too much longer or you keep getting blown off just get your shirt, SEL, or CC involved. Your timeline is actually moving quite fast, but in my case it took about 21 days to get my 618 back (for reference). If all the proper DOD, VA and Air Force guidance and timelines were followed I would probably be 2-3 months further along than I am now so I have little to no faith in this system anymore. Make them do their job and double/triple check their work, this stuff could affect the rest of your life not theirs, just my perspective.

He actually just emailed me about 10 minutes ago saying his computer has been "in and out." Fingers crossed things start moving now.

Just got the MyPers email that states: "Your AF Form 356, Findings and Recommended Disposition of USAF Physical Evaluation Board was sent to the Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) at your base Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). Your PEBLO will explain the Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) findings and recommended disposition. You can request a copy for your personal records. Your PEBLO will contact you within 24 hours of receipt of your AF Form 356 findings. If the PEBLO has not contacted you after 24 hours of receipt of this email notification, please contact them."

I can't get ahold of my PEBLO and it's Friday and I don't want to have to be in suspense all weekend.....GAAAAH!

Congratulations! I’ve had my 618 signed since the 6th of MAR and the email from my pers since the 7th of MAR and still no update. Unfortunate but hopefully soon. During this time I’ve been looking at the VA website and my status hasn’t changed at all from gathering evidence review and decision. Was it different for you?

Nope, mine is still stuck at evidence gathering, review, and decision as well. It's also not showing up on ebenefits yet either. Best of luck to you and I'll keep my fingers crossed you get your decision soon.

From what the VA rep was telling me, your status wont change until they have a DD214 in hand as you are not eligible for a decision until you are a veteran. It will stay at that status or "STATUS NOT AVAILABLE" until you are seperated.

Ah I see, thank you for clarifying I was under the impression it would change before I got my percentages back from the VA. That eases my mind a bit since it’s been the same for 3-4 months now.

Did you use the disability counsel at all?

Wait really? I have been checking mine like it would give me some idea of what was happening with my case :(. Mine did populate in ebenefits but is still showing preparation for decision but sounds like that might not even change. I wish there was some insight into the process and how their prioritization works.

I know, me too! I think the VA MSC is supposed to fill you in on all that, but it just depends on how proactive they are. I have to pull information out of mine and it's like pulling teeth.

Did yours even get a different update date on the VA site before you were notified? Also if you don't mind me asking how many conditions did you claim?

Also did you receive an email before your peblo notified you of findings from mypers or just the email that confirmed it was sent up to afpc physical disability ops branch

I was med boarded for two conditions and I claimed around 10 I think. Nothing changed on the VA site.
