Boarded condition: Fibromyalgia

3/5- Code 37 applied
3/11- NARSUM sent to PEBLO
3/22- CC impact statement to PEBLO (rec. DO NOT RETAIN)
4/26- Full MEB notification
4/28- Signed IDES w/ PEBLO
5/3- Met with MSC to determine claimed conditions (24 claimed between physical and mental)
5/15- Mental Health exam (scheduled)
5/20- Audiogram (scheduled)

I'm hoping the head to toe gets scheduled for May as well but so far there's no movement yet. I'm hoping for the best results but very ready to be done with the process.

I hope it goes well for you. I am also going through the MEB process for Fibromyalgia, although on all the paperwork it states Polyarthropathy of the neck, back, and shoulders. It doesn’t take long for QTC to schedule all your appointments, at least in my experience. It took about 3 weeks from the time they were scheduled to the time I completed all of them. Just completed my last exam on April 25th and awaiting the NARSUM from my PEBLO which I was told will be done in a week or two. Keep in mind that the doctors for your C&P exams have up to 45 days to submit the DBQs showing their findings. All of mine got submitted within 4 or 5 days of the exam but the doctor for my General Exam took 21 days to submit the DBQ. You will see them uploaded in Tricare Online under Documents.

Thank you very much for that information! I was wondering where the DBQs would end up. I've never heard of polyarthropathy prior to this but maybe its more common in the VA world.

You are welcome. Did the VA call it Polyarthropathy on your forms too? Just wondering if like you said that’s more common in the VA world than Fibromyalgia.

Sorry to hear that. They do tell you that it can take up to 45 days though. The more things you claim the longer it takes and certain conditions take them longer to review as well so maybe that’s why it’s taking yours so long. I actually reached out to my VA MSC and asked her if she knew the status of my General exam, she didn’t write me back but 2 days later it was uploaded in Tricare Online. Ask your MSC if they can provide you a status update on it.

From what I've seen on most of these post, it takes roughly a month from your last C&P appt to signing the 618 marking the end of the MEB phase and the start of the PEB phase. My last C&P exam was 5/5 and my PEBLO told me the board will meet and I'll sign my 618 on 5/26 which seems quick compared to a lot of others. It sucks that the timeline for the MEB phase depends entirely on your local area.

I have a similar claim, Fibro plus many secondary items. My general and final C&P was done on 17MAR… the DBQ for that was uploaded 23 APR and all other DBQs were uploaded early April I saw on TOL. Haven’t heard anything though since 23APR, losing hope… no NARSUM yet. But just gotta keep waiting. Been in the process since claim was submitted in late December.. Good luck.

Don’t loose hope, it will come through eventually. I completed my C&P exams on April 25th and all DBQs were uploaded in TOL the beginning of May. I’m still awaiting my NARSUM but was told my PEBLO just received the results from my C&P exams a few days ago. My VA MSC said I should be completed with the MEB portion by June, at the latest July 1st. I was referred for a MEB on February 8th so things seem to be moving a little bit slow.

UPDATE:

5/15- Mental Health exam complete (chatted more than an hour)
5/20- Audiogram complete
6/8- C&P head to toe complete (four hour exam!)

Now it looks like it'll be a waiting game. There were so many notes taken during that last exam. I didn't realize we'd discuss every joint and body system! The doctor was super thorough though so I'm grateful for that.

Hoping for questionnaires to be back in...July?

Any movement?

I finished my final exams back in March and the reports came back 23APR…. No movement yet at all. Hoping others have better luck.

MY Timeline:
Referred to medboard: 19DEC21
C&P exams complete: 17MAR22
DBQs uploaded: 23APR22
11JUL22 - MEB packet sent to me for review/rebuttal; option to write statement offered: ... 10 days to meet with lawyer and discuss then MEB complete pretty much.

Hopefully yours moves fast. Its been 42 days since I got the automated email that my case was sent to AFPC…I think there are a few others that have been waiting just as long. The switch to the new system has definitely slowed things down. My PEBLO told me up to a 4 week delay. Anyone else getting the same info?

Another 4 weeks??? Why does it always take forever to roll over to a new Air Force system. Can they not work out the kinks and train people before they implement these changes. Its like the switch from TOL to MHSGenesis all over again.

7/23- DBQs available in TOL
8/1- Signed package for AFPC consideration

Well folks, anyone want to guess how long it will take for ratings to come in? I'm taking lots of time off this month to keep myself distracted...

My DBQs were uploaded 22 July and I should be signing in thr next week or two.

I've heard AFPC is very very backed up. I'm telling myself that it's going to take 2 months from tbe time AFPC recieves my package. Expecting long wait as to not be disappointed
