24 JUL- Not a peep from anyone about anything. No replies.
26 JUL- Rucker/Novosel hired a PEBLO who begins next week. Made contact. No case has been made for me in IDES. I, and many others here, will be starting from scratch after multiple months of waiting. At least we will finally be starting.

28 JUL- Intake brief with PEBLO. I just kind of walked into her office to talk, and she went ahead and knocked out the brief. This new PEBLO is motivated and sharp. Makes me more confident in the process.

1 AUG- Briefing with MSC to file claims. During the meeting, I informed the MSC that I wouldn't be available for six business days (21-28 AUG). This is the one week ALL YEAR that I can't be available. So, my case can't be submitted until I return. Pretty frustrating as I should have been with the MSC submitting claims in May. Anyway, my new briefing with the MSC to file claims is scheduled for 29 AUG.

31 AUG- Receive letter in mail from QTC to call and schedule exams. Immediately called to schedule, was told they are missing one form (the self-health assessment or "SHA").
1 SEP- Called MSC to report missing paperwork. He called BS and made some phone calls. Was told to give it an hour and call back. Two hours later, called back. QTC still didn't have the form.
4 SEP- Overseas employment accepted with tentative start date of 3 January. We'll see if this works out.
5 SEP- Called QTC to schedule exams after Labor Day holiday. C&P Exams scheduled by QTC with no input from me. No problem, I have nothing else to do. Last appointment is scheduled for 27 SEP. PEBLO will submit expedite memo immediately upon completion of last C&P exam.

Yeah I wouldn't hold your breath on that January start date. This process is slower than molasses. I've been waiting over 3 months to get my ratings. I'll count myself lucky if I'm out before Thanksgiving at this point.

Well, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Well, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
Timelines are all over the map. It only took 30 days from my last C&P Appt (VES not QTC) to get my NARSUM back. Day after that it was forwarded to the PEB and it looks like it may be approx. 2 months from last VA appointment to receiving DA199. If you faced that timeline you'd at least have made your elections by end of November. You're AD, isn't there a massive window during the transition phase you can essentially start working, or do you have to have that 214 in hand before you start?

My NARSUM and med package was sent to the PEB June 12th. I got my VA ratings July 14th, they were then sent back to the PEB on Aug 2nd. I am STILL waiting for those to be sent to my PEBLO. The only thing quick about this process was surprisingly the VA.

Yes, the window at the end includes terminal leave. So, I can begin working as soon as I sign out on terminal leave, which should be late December from what my PEBLO estimates based on recent cases. But, we'll see.

With proof of employment offer, the expedite memo should get me close to, if not the top of, the stack when it comes to Army processes. It has no effect on the VA timeline, though. So, I'm hopeful it will work out.

From what I've been told, if you are referred for BH, the BH NARSUM can take some time. If BH isn't one of your referred conditions, I'm not sure what the holdup could be.
